Overview of the Question Paper
NEET UG 2025 exam contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). There are a total of 180 questions. Each question will have 4 options from which you have to attempt only the option which you believe is correct. You must shade the circle infront of the right option using a blue or black ball pen on the OMR sheet. MCQ gives more options to the candidate which increases their chances of scoring well.
If you over shade outside the circle or mark two answers for the same question may result in no marks being awarded. The OMR sheet is checked with the machines, so there are no chances of getting marks for these mistakes.
Marking Scheme
The Total marks of NEET UG is 720 marks. NEET UG 2025 exam pattern distribute its marks as per following:
- For every correct response, four points will be given.
- For each incorrect answer one mark will be reduced.
- No marks will be given for unattempt questions.
- When more than one answer is correct four marks will be awarded for those who choose any of the correct answers.
- When all options are correct four marks will be given for those candidates who attempted that question.
- If the candidate marks more than one option for the same question, no marks will be awarded and one mark be deducted.
